Pastoral Leadership

The Rev. Adam Tisdale (right) is the Senior Pastor of North Hills Church and began serving the church in June of 2009.  Prior to coming to North Hills, Adam served five years as Associate Pastor of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Norfolk, VA.  Adam holds degrees from the University of Georgia and Covenant Theological Seminary.   He has also served churches in a variety of capacities in Illinois and Georgia.  Adam has been married to his high school sweetheart, Lydia, since 1998.  They are the parents of two elementary school children — a dog (Spoetzl) and a cat (Wimsey) add to the excitement at the Tisdale homestead.

The Rev. David Hammond (left) serves in part-time capacity as the Associate Pastor and has been associated with North Hills Church since it began in February of 1996.   Pastor Hammond, a native of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, came to Huntsville in August of 1970 to teach Bible and history courses at Westminster Christian Academy and serve as youth pastor for Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was ordained to the ministry in June of 1981. After nineteen years of fulltime teaching, Mr. Hammond was asked to assume administrative duties with the academy, especially in the area of development.  His wife, Dixie, is a highly gifted teacher who has taught kindergarten, high school French and elementary classes at WCA for over 20 years. The Hammonds have three married children and eleven grandchildren.
